Emelia Kate Turton was born in the Maternity Unit of Kettering General Hospital on the 5th Febraury 1991 at 8.30am, weighing in at 8lb 15oz. Her chosen name always seemed to big for her, she was called little Lia for quite a while until the little was dropped and she was known as Lia to everyone. She was the fourth child and fourth daughter born to Rita and Gordon Turton. Lia's sisters are, Melissa, Charlotte and Lauren. Much to everyone's surprise Lia was born with Down's Syndrome but you will see as this memorial dedicated to Lia unfolds, she never let it get in the way of doing the things she wanted to do.
